Managing your energy to accomplish more

You start your day with a list of the things you want to accomplish. Everything is perfect and you say to yourself, I’m going to be really productive today. But in the end, if you get done the half of it you are lucky. You blame yourself. Nonetheleas, there’s a secret to accomplish more. You just need to be flexible and manage your energy correctly.
Everybody’s different. Some people have more energy in the morning, some at night, and some in different spans during the day.
First thing, experiment. When do you feel more productive? Save that time to the tasks that require more energy (writing, reading, thinking…). On the other hand, when you don’t have energy, tackle activities that don’t require a lot of energy (emails, daily tasks, …)
One the biggest mistakes I had is trying to accomplish something no matter what. In some occasions you have no choice, but that’s rarely the case. Instead, what I do now is, I have my list of tasks for the day, but instead of being totally committed to the plan, I’m flexible. I reorganize the tasks depending of my levels of energy.
There’s no rush. The secret is to have a list of tasks (a realistic one) and to manage properly your energy.
