Going a little bit to the edge doesn’t work. If you want to do something remarkable you’ve got to go all the way to it, otherwise people won’t talk about it. Then it doesn’t spread.
Cal Newport with his book Deep Work didn’t say, I’ll stop using social media but I’ll check them from time to time. No, he stopped using them altogether.
Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson from Basecamp went all the way to the edge by fighting the idea of workaholism. They also defended the idea of working remotely and went all the way to the edge by writing a book about it, and of course implemented it within their company.
