How to burn £1000 per day

Back in 2007, J.K. Rowling was writing his last book on the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The deadline was coming, so she had to sprint. The problem was that she couldn’t focus, so she had to something about it.
In an Oprah’s interview, she said there was a point where she was surrounded by distractions and noise in her house. She needed a quiet place to focus and finish it. That was when she decided to go to The Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh, a luxury hotel that looks like Hogwarts where you pay £1000 per night… And it worked.
It worked so well that she decided to stay there until she finished the book.
Some might think that the fact she was spending a lot of money was the key to productivity. Well, I’m not sure… The fact is that she stayed in a place where she could focus and enter in a state  of Deep Work (term acoined by Cal Newport.)
Maybe you can’t afford to spend £1000 per day. But what you can do is to find a quiet place—interruption free—where you can sprint and ship something.
