As you’ve read a couple of days ago in this blog, I just moved to Chile. What I usually do is to stay the first days in a hostel, so you have people who can help you to get to know the city. And one of the things I like from hostels is the opportunity to chat with people from all over the world.
Today I met a guy who wants to start a business. He doesn’t know what it’s going to be about yet, but in all the ideas he shared with me there was a common pattern that I loved… Starting small.
There he was talking about a bunch of ideas. One of them was about starting a coffee shop for cyclists. He said he’ll start with a portable toll and he’ll get wherever they are.
The beauty of it is that he will get real contact with customers and basically start for free. Then if the feedback is good he can get to keep going, or start over.
It doesn’t require a huge investment or months of development… Just get out there and test in the wild.
