“My way or the highway”

A few decades ago (sometimes just a few years though) sales people used a dirty technique to close more deals: “my way or the highway”. They were the only players in town, so if you wanted what they were selling, that was the deal.
Of course that doesn’t work anymore. Now customers choose the highway every time.
Information is everywhere, so people choose what they want, and sales people who happen to use dirty tricks no longer get to play.
There’s no “my way” anymore. The selfish and infantile narcissism behavior put people out of the game. As should they be.
Alas, some still trick customers that way. But it’s a matter of time before they get out.
“My way” is not a long-term strategy.
