My golden rule to become better at decision making

There are actually hundreds of books explaining how to make better decisions. They get into great detail, nonetheless, when it comes to put things into practice… that’s another story. Anyway, I have one golden rule that has saved my bacon more than once while making decisions.
The golden rule to become better at decision making is to not let past decisions rule the future.
It’s worth repeating again: do not let past decisions rule the future.
Too often decisions are driven by irrational emotions, which most of the times happen because people don’t like to admit they were wrong.
It’s difficult, but knowing how to analyze the best outcome despite past investments is a nice skill to have.
