Start small, start now

Starting small and thinking big are critical, but start is the part that matters.
A few hours ago a young entrepreneur told me his idea. It was ambitious and great, but Resistance was showing up.
The problem is, as Seth Godin said in the Bootstrapper’s Bible, a great idea can wipe you out.
Thinking big is great, but more often than not that’s resistance, because you hide from the actual thing–you don’t start.
So there was this guy, great idea but not starting. I told him: What are the first couple of people that would join to the thing you want to do?
Then I pushed him to do something ‘right here, right now’. He contacted those people and started a conversation around the change he wanted to make.
Starting small and thinking big are critical, but at the end, the keyword is start.
