The Marshmallow Test in Real Life (patience pays off)

You’ve probably heard about the Marshmallow Test. A study ran in the 60s, where they proved how kids who delayed instant gratification end up being more successful in life, than the kids who chose to eat the marshmallow right away.
What’s interesting is the two takeaways you can extract from that study:

  1. Postponing instant gratification leads to better outcomes.
  2. If you don’t sign up for the experiment you get nothing (!) so you better grab the opportunity.

I found this video and it’s the perfect reminder that, no matter how hard it feels, in the end patience and long-term strategy are worth it.
