How to make everything easier or unnecessary

Last year I bought a book called The ONE Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results, but I didn’t touch it until recently. I don’t know why but it seems it didn’t appeal to me at the time. But I was wrong… This is a powerful book.
As soon as I bought it, I read the first few pages and thought “I know, I know”. Until the other day, I saw it again and started reading it.
What I love most about this book is how it tackles productivity from a particular point of view, which is to focus on just one important thing. It sounds obvious, but the book is just worth the read when it shows you a very powerful question:

“What’s the one thing I can do such by doing it, everything else will be easier or unnecessary?

That’s such a powerful question that can change the game altogether.
What’s the one thing I can do …

  • …this month to move forward the project I always to talk about…
  • …today to get better at [fill-in-the-blank]…
  • …in the next week to get better at writing…
  • …right now to start working on my purpose…

… such by doing it everything else will be easier or unnecessary?
Find one that one thing. Then, relentlessly, focus on getting it done.
