Showing off feelings

People love to show off how they got the deal of the month buying X stuff.
They want to feel like real dealers that got a better deal than everybody else.
Of course sometimes people get amazing deals at ridiculously prices. But the juice is to make them believe that, not by lying, but by making them feel in that way.
And if you do a good job, they will tell others. There’s when you know you’ve done a good job.
