Persisting at something can be dangerous

Sometimes persist at something is necessary to cross the Dip. However, persisting can be dangerous. And that’s where you should consider whether or not time invested is worth to achieve success.
There are times where you need 5 to 10 years to start seeing serious results. But sometimes you can pick an industry where it doesn’t matter how many years you put in, it’ll take you a lifetime to become successful.
Does it worth the time invested? I’m not talking about being lazy and wanting results right away. I’m talking about picking the wrong industry and spending 30 years on it before you see any results.
If you want it badly enough go ahead, but before moving forward and spend several years ask yourself: Is there another industry where I can make the change I seek to make, without spending all those years?
