Conventional wisdom

Conventional wisdom is great sometimes, however. What happens when you guide yourself by them you can end up having assumptions with no idea of why’s that. (Read this story of monkeys, a ladder and cold water.)
If you want to stand out don’t trust conventional wisdom–it won’t take you to new places.
Oftentimes, conventional wisdom tells you to not purse a project because it’s not appealing. But big rewards almost always go to those who decide to deviate from the wisdom road and create a new one.
Those roads have no track on them, that’s great. You get to create your own path by going through it. As Antonio Machado, the Spanish poet, said: “Travelers, there is no path, paths are made by walking.”
